Welcome to the 2013 season at Bickley Park Cricket Club!
The 2012 season saw Bickley Park retain Premier Division status after a wet summer. An early season trip to North London also saw our usual cup run curtailed at the hands of the exuberant South Hamsptead.
In the 2nd XI league Bickley started strongly and with 6 games to go looked to be strong contenders for the title, but poor availablity and the resurgence of opposition teams saw the challenge for the title faulter. Sliping down the table, the 2nd XI finished 6th in a table where 6 points separated 4 places.
The 3rd XI in the Kent League 1st XI Division 5, captained by Parag Patel for the second season ended the season in 8th place - well clear of the relegation battle and a mighty effort given most of the teams in the league are actually 1st XI sides with overseas players
The 4th XI, skippered by Richard Brewer struggled in 2012 in the Kent Regional Cricket League West 2B and will be looking to return to form for th comimg season.
Credit and thanks as always must also go to Simon McQuiggan for his tireless assistance and corralling of players, in his final year wit hthe club. While the higher XI's often take the plaudits, it is vital to Bickley to have a thriving club at all level, including the juniors section. He will be a hard man to follow.
Planning and preparing for the 2013 season is well under way and if you are interested in joining a great cricket club, for league cricket or friendlies please contact us.

· Everyone gets a cricket cap and a shirt as part of the School sponsorship
· Thursdays will now be split between soft ball and hard ball age groups
· Hard ball players will be grouped by ability, allowing tailored coaching

Bickley Park Cricket Club was founded on Thursday 27th February 1868. The ground was supplied by a Mr. George Wythes, of Bickley Hall, and Bickley played its first game, on July 11th of that year. Few records remain of games played in the early years, although an excellent booklet covering the history of Bickley Park Cricket club was produced for the clubs 125 years celebrations, a limited number are still available on request.
The club has come a long way from then, having played in the South Thames League until 1996 and now has both first and second elevens playing in their respective first divisions of the Shephed Neame Kent league. The third and fourth elevens play in the Kent Cricket League Feeder West Divisions 1a and 2a respectively, while at the height of the season a fifth team play five of six fixtures. Sunday fixtures are mostly friendly games, however the club does play in the top division of the Aero Sunday Developement League as well as entering the London Evening Standard knock-out competition and the National Cup Contest. The following web pages aim to provide useful information on the various facilities, teams and social events which take place at the club throughout the year.I
