Report
Bickley faced bottom of the league Gore Court on Saturday and recorded arguably their most convincing win of the season.
Batting first on a questionable surface, Bickley lost a couple of quick wickets, but rebuilt fantastically well through Monaghan and King. Monaghan, fresh from his successes during the week, made 76 on debut and King 87 before he was forced to retire hurt with a couple of overs to spare. A useful late cameo from Stafford got Bickley up to a well above par 233/3 from 50 overs.
Gore Court were always struggling in reply, as first Williams and then Ramsey proceeded to rip through the top order with 3 wickets apiece. Some dogged batting ensured the game dragged, but Gore Court were eventually skittled for 119. Stafford, Crowdy and Poole shared the rest of the wickets, with man of the moment Monaghan taking a couple of excellent grabs in the gully.
Two games to go and Bickley remain top. First up is relegation threatened Orpington, who have been on a good run of form recently. Victory should ensure promotion, however the title will certainly be te main aim.
