Report
With a 7 out of 7 win so far, Bickley hosted OD CUACO on the hottest day of the year so far at Warren. Although the team had been marred by immense unavailability issues with any players hard to find by that week, the skipper braved up to put up a side out with last minute signings along with Barry Hainsworth and legend Simon McQuiggan making to the 11th.
Bickley won the toss this time again and elected to bat knowing that the smelting heat will have a massive toll on the fielders. Bickley had a weak start losing Jack Cooper for(1) and Mark Hardy (1), however Simon Davis held on with his current form scoring (22) with newcomer Pulkit Kinra getting 28, providing the much required platform, however the rest failed to capitalise on the platform and runs were hard to come by with wicket falling in quick succession and were bowled out for 101 in 37.2 overs.
Despite the low total, Bickley went out to bowl with determination to get something out of the match. Simon Davis and Sunny bowled with consistent line-length and Simon grabbing 2 wickets with a lovely in swinging Yorker to remove their opening batter. However the runs were hard to stop by and OD CUACO reached 104 in just 19 overs with an early finish to the game with Issac loader their highest scorer with (28) runs along with Samuel Parke (21).
This still keeps Bickley at the top of the league, however the margin at the top three spot have closed in narrowly, so a must will game awaits for Bickley away to Dulwich CC this weekend.
