Report
BPCC welcomed Canterbury for a dead rubber with a real end of season feel to it. Perhaps this can account for the dismal performance.
Batting first Bickley slumped to 25-5. There were a couple of good balls, but it was mainly self-inflicted shocking shot selection – which is a bit of a theme this season. Old timers (We prefer the three H’s to Old timers, thank you very much?) Harriott, Hewitt and Horner made the score respectable with some lusty late order hitting, meaning a final score of 106 brought a semblance of respectable and a slim chance of a defence.
Early wickets were needed, but despite chipping away, Canterbury cruised to the total 4 down with plenty of overs left.
A disappointing result all in all. With only 2 games left to play, and despite being safe, it would be nice to end on a high.
Thanks again to Ali G and the supporters who came down to watch.
