BPCC traveled to Sidcup on the back of a disappointing performance against Beckenham, albeit sharing some points due to rain, and bounced back in style, with a comfortable 160 run win.
Fullerton and Holcombe set the innings up brilliantly, with a 153 run partnership, which included some big hits and glorious drives. With Holcombe departing for 67, Fullerton continued to his first century at the club, much to the delight of his team mates and the women of Sidcup. A brilliant 50 from Moen (including an outrageous reverse sweep 6) and useful cameos from Singh and Ridley, meant BPCC finished on an imposing 316-6 off 45 overs. Pick of the Sidcup bowlers was Dawes, who bowled good areas, and was unlucky to just take the 1 wicket.
In response, the Sidcup order started well, but regular wickets from X Darroch, Browning and Singh meant it was always a tough ask. There were a couple of late cameos, particularly Kilbey’s who blasted a powerful 34, however a strong debut bowling performance from Monoghan helped finish the job, showing off field success can carry onto the pitch.
